Day 01: Arrival at Delhi
A Buddhist Tour with Nepal encompasses all the renowned sites related to Mahatma Buddha’s life span.  Thereby beginning from India, the tour will take you up to the famous Buddhist pilgrimage sites in Nepal.  First on your arrival in India you will land in the capital city, Delhi where our GeTS Holidays representative will be present at the airport to welcome you with your duly planned Buddhist tour itinerary.  Thereafter loading your luggage in the luxury vehicle our representative will escort you to the hotel booked previously for an overnight stay.

Day 02: Delhi - Lucknow - Sravasti
On this day breakfast will be served at the hotel which will be followed by a drive to the railway station in order to board the train for Lucknow.  As you arrive at Lucknow by afternoon you will be welcomed by our GeTS Holidays representative who will then drive you to Sravasti, one of the six largest cities in the country during Gautama Buddha’s lifespan ruled by a great disciple of Buddha.  Buddha has spent the massive part of his monastic part in the region and thus houses various sites of Buddhist significance. 

Guests will spend rest of the day in sighting Buddhist monuments and buildings such as Angulimala’s stupa, Anathapindika’s stupa and Jetavana monastery to view the Anandabodhi tree.  After this enlightening experience guests will be directed back to their hotel where they will take a very peaceful nap.

Day 03: Sravasti - Lumbini
On this day post breakfast guests will drive towards the site of Sahet Mahet, the ancient city of Sravasti in ruins along with sites such as Orajhar, Panahiajhar and Kharahuwanjhar. 

Guests will then return to the hotel and pack up for their next destination another site of Buddhist significance, Lumbini the birth place of Lord Buddha. On arrival at Lumbini guests will be provided a comfortable accommodation in the region by our GeTS Holidays representative for their comfortable Buddhist pilgrimage tour in India.

Day 04: Lumbini - Kushinagar
Situated in the foothills of majestic Himalayas, Lumbini is the holy city of Buddhists where the Buddha is said to have spent 29 years of his life.  Post breakfast on this day of Buddhist Tour with Nepal guests will be taken for a sightseeing tour of the renowned Buddhist sites of the region.  On this day began your journey with a visit to renowned Ashokan Pillar erected on the spot of Buddha’s birth followed by a visit to Dharma Swami Maharaja Buddha Temple and Lumbini Buddha Vihar.   

Later on guests will again go for a drive to reach Kushinagar the place where Buddha had attained salvation.  On arrival in Kushinagar guests will be accommodated in a hotel booked for an overnight stay. 

Day 05: Kushinagar - Patna
Post breakfast on this day of your Buddhist tour in Nepal you will visit the famous Buddhist sites.  The trip will first begin with a visit to Mathakaut Temple which houses the renowned for being the place of Lord Buddha’s last sermon.  Thereafter guests will pay a visit to the Nirvana Temple which houses a 6 m reclining statue of Buddha representing his last moments of life before he attained Mahaparinirvana.  The trip will conclude with a visit being paid to Mahaparinirvana Stupa or the Ramabhar Stupa which is built on the site where Lord Buddha was cremated. 

Post a pilgrimage tour in Nepal guests will return to India and will be driven to Patna by our GeTS Holidays representative.  On arrival you will be accommodated in a hotel booked previously for your night stay. 

Day 06: Patna - Rajgir - Bodhgaya
The morning of this day of your Buddhist Tour with Nepal will promise a delightful experience of Buddhist tour in the region.  As a result guests will first relish a delectable meal and then will proceed for a visit to Bodhgaya.  The drive up to Bodhgaya will turn out to be an eventful affair as guests will also pay an en route visit to Rajgir.  A well known Buddhist pilgrim site, Rajgir houses the renowned Gridhakuta hill or Vulture’s Peak where Buddha had spent a very eventful time of his life and imparted numerous valued discourses.  A visit to this place is a must after which guests will visit Vishwa Shanti Stupa a famous Peace Pagoda built by Nichidatsu Fujii a Buddhist monk. 

Continuing with the journey henceforth guests will reach Bodhgaya along with our GeTS Holidays representative who will then accompany them to the hotel booked for their night stay.

Day 07: At Bodhgaya

The holiest of all Buddhist sites, Bodhgaya is renowned for being the place where Lord Buddha had attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree.  On this day of India Buddhist pilgrimage tour guests will be taken for tour to various pious sites of Buddhist relevance.  First and foremost guests will be taken for a visit to Mahabodhi Temple where they will site the beauteous temple with the diamond throne and the sacred Bodhi tree.  Also, pay a visit to the holy Niranjana River and then return to the hotel for an overnight stay on this day of Buddhist Tour.

Day 08: Bodhgaya - Sarnath - Varnasi

On the eight day of this Buddhist Tour with Nepal guests will be served a delectable meal in the morning which will be followed by another journey.  Guests will check out and will be guided to Varanasi by our GeTS Holidays representative who will escort them throughout.  En route also pay a visit to Sarnath to visit the famous Deer Park where, Buddha had preached his first sermon.  Continuing with the journey henceforth guests will enter Varanasi where they will be accommodated in a hotel booked for their night stay in the region.

Day 09: Varanasi - Kathmandu

A morning in Varanasi will bring a pious and refreshing sense as you will enjoy a boat ride on holy River Ganges and witness the morning Hindu rituals performed on the banks of the river.  Breakfast will be served back at the hotel after which guests will travel to the airport where they will board the flight to Kathmandu.  On arrival at Kathmandu our GeTS Holidays representative in Nepal will welcome the guests and will duly transfer them to their place of accommodation in the hotel booked previously under this Buddhist tour in Nepal. 

Day 10: At Kathmandu

Breakfast will be served at the hotel on this day and thereafter guests will proceed for a sightseeing tour of the capital city of Nepal.  This tour of the city will first begin with a visit to Patan City known for its Hindu temples and Buddhist monasteries displaying a fine harmonious existence of different religions flourishing peaceful on this land.  Also, visit Swamyabhunath stupa a famous Buddhist site.  A few minutes away from Durbar Square is located Golden Temple is also known as Hiranya Varna Mahabihar a renowned Buddhist Monastery.  Guests will thereafter return to the hotel and will rest there for night.

Day 11: Kathmandu - Departure

The last day of Buddhist Tour with Nepal will begin with a delectable meal in the morning and guests will then check out to reach the airport.  Our GeTS Holidays representative will make all the arrangements at the airport to avail the guests with meticulous amenities for a comfortable flight back home.
